Screen for PICs
« on: March 20, 2017, 05:49:04 am »
Hi,  My first post.

I use PICs for my projects and BASIC is my language (I don't have the time/brain and inclination to move to Arduino)

I need some kind of screen for readouts etc, and normally use either simply LED flashing, or for text, the 2line-4line LCDs.  I'm trying to get my circuits to be smaller and saw this screen: http://www.dx.com/p/open-smart-2-0-touch-screen-expension-board-w-touch-pen-for-arduino-450742

Now I find I need a cumbersome extra Arduino board or similar to make it work.

1/ Is it possible to get anything out of these screens using PICs?
2/ If not is there another screen that I can use, driven only by a PIC?

Cheers, Camerart.
