Hi everyone,
i hope somebody can help to diagnose what happened. i had a random shutdown issue. so to isolate the issue i started by disconnecting everything and reconnecting and swapping between hardware. but i did a mistake that i tried to boot the motherboard without CPU0 installed only CPU1. then when i try to turn on the machine. all the case fan run on high speed but the ram fan doesn't run. and the bios screen doesn't load.
is the bios got corrupted ?
can i reload the bios using boot usb stick ?
can i use the bios programmer to re programming the chip?
thanks

That's what mine does. I've never gotten mine to work - it's done this since first power-on.
First thing to try would be clearing the CMOS. See http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c01717124#N1012A
Why do you think the BIOS got corrupted?

I would try swapping graphics cards first.

Next I would try swapping in a single quad core CPU to see if that fixes it.

If not try removing one RAM stick at a time (though I doubt this is it because the computer can detect bad RAM sticks and ignore them).

Obviously clear the CMOS.

disconnect all the hard drives.

my guess is it is related to the GPU tbh.
